Tips for bulk buying a whole, half, or quarter beef:
For bulk beef, you pay the farmer for the animal and the butcher for processing. The processing fees vary based on desired cuts, but generally the cost is about 70 cents/lb.) This way you can customize cuts!)
We have two processors we use locally but can work with another processor if you have a preference.
The amount of meat and exact cost varies by animal and is calculated off hanging weight at the butcher. Our hanging weights are ~ 750 pounds per animal, for roughly 125 pounds of meat per quarter.
